With that in mind our Autumn event is all about YOU as New Professionals SHowcasing YOUR INformation Expertise to a wider audience – SHINE – #npdishine14
Our Autumn event is an opportunity for new information professionals qualified within the last 1-5 years (including this year’s MLIS class) to showcase their expertise.
We have two opportunities available – you can produce a 10-15 minute presentation in a format of your choosing or you can produce a (printed) A3 poster.
The presentation or poster can be on one of the following criteria:
1) A project or capstone you worked on as part of your MLIS/MSc
2) A voluntary project you were/are involved in
3) A work project that enhanced your practical skills or required an innovative approach
4) Practical and innovative ideas that you have encountered
5) Practical experience regarding your own job search
Submit a Powerpoint (or similar) presentation with written notes to firstname.lastname@example.org by 7th September 2014.
The written notes must be submitted in a separate document (Word or PDF) to the presentation – this should be the script or notes of your presentation as you intend to deliver it.
Submit a PDF of your poster design with written notes to npdireland.gmail.com by 7th September 2014.

If successful your printed poster will be of A3 size for display on the 11th October in Pearse Street Library Conference and Exhibition space.
Successful Poster & Presentation:
We will announce those selected for both the presentation and the poster display on 15th September 2014.
The Autumn Event will take place 2pm-5pm in Pearse Street Library Conference and Exhibition Space on Saturday 11th October 2014.
Please ensure that you are available to attend if you are submitting either a poster or a presentation.
