We’ve asked a few colleagues who are new professionals to provide an insight into various roles and libraries that they have worked in. Hopefully you will find these posts interesting as you chart your own ‘experience’ journey within the profession.

Our first ‘experience’ post is from Eilís Ní Raghallaigh who worked at the Irish Film Institute. Eilís is a recent graduate from UCD SILS class of 2012 and you can tell from her post that she enjoyed her time at the IFI.

We’ve been fortunate to have an American colleague Stacey Redick write a post about her experience as a new professional stateside. Stacey  graduated from the University of Toronto in 2012 with her Master’s in Library and Information Science. She is currently working with the Special Libraries Association (Washington, DC Chapter).
