The Information Professionals’ Network (IPN) is working with employers to fill and create new employment opportunities for information and library management graduates and practitioners in non-traditional as well as traditional workplace settings. The Network will also empower new graduates and practitioners to identify and apply transferable skills to non-traditional as well as traditional employment settings.

NPD Ireland is supporting member of the Careers Expo for Information Professionals’ which took place on May 19th, 2017 at Dublin Business School. The event was organised by the Information Professionals’ Network. A sponsored networking event followed the expo.

The Careers Expo took place from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on the 3rd floor of the Aungier Street building and had a range of stands (employer, professional body, alumni, CV/interview advice, etc.). Employer/recruitment stands included Arcline, Innovative Interfaces, Interleaf, Grad Ireland, CB Resourcing, TFPL, and others.

Additionally, CB Resourcing was available for the full day and began with a talk on CV and interview preparation followed by one-to-one advice sessions.

TFPL did a Skype session on interview/CV preparation at 2:30 pm.

SLA, a European network of information professionals sponsored networking drinks and nibbles from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

This was a wonderful opportunity for new professionals, current students, and recent graduates. All were welcome. We look forward to next year’s event!
